Glycated Haemoglobin or Haemoglobin A1c is a blood test that shows your average blood sugar level over the past 2–3 months. It is one of the most important tests used to diagnose and check diabetes.
Difference between “sugar” and

cherries. Dried fruits like raisins, figs, dates, and dried apricots are highly
concentrated in fructose. Consumption of fructose should be at a moderate level
as heavy doses puts load on lever.

A hormone called insulin helps glucose get into our cells. If somebody has
diabetes body does not make enough insulin, or cells do not use it well. As a
result, glucose cannot get into cells, hence blood sugar levels increase.
Glucose in blood sticks to
haemoglobin, a protein in our red blood cells. As blood glucose levels
increase, more of glucose sticks to haemoglobin. An A1C or HbA1c test measures
the percentage of red blood cells that have glucose-coated haemoglobin, thus
making the test a key tool for diabetes diagnosis and management. Since red
blood cells live about 120 days, this test reflects long-term blood sugar
control, not just a single day.
Why HbA1c test is necessary
because if you go for random test of blood sugar or blood sugar fasting tests which
is conducted before meal and after meal , will show sugar at that movement in the blood,
but HbA1c blood test shows long term sugar levels body was supporting. HbA1c blood test aware us about hidden sugar
spikes you may not notice and helps us to predict risk of diabetes
complications: heart disease, kidney damage, nerve damage, eye problems and to
take necessary action to control the imbalance in the body.
